KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Hot Cocoa Recipe

If you live in Grand Rapids, then you know THE place to get the best chocolate in town is from Mokaya. Owner and chocolatier, Charles, has created a recipe for a classic holiday drink with a little added kick: KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Hot Cocoa.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Hot Cocoa

  • 1 12oz bottle of KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (can use KBS or KBS Espresso too)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1oz bourbon
  • 4 cups whole milk or dairy-free milk alternative

Mix beer, maple syrup, vanilla, cocoa powder and sugar in a pan on low heat. Whisk until smooth and warm. Add bourbon and milk. Warm to taste.
