Sustainability is one of our four pillars under our Founders for All program and it’s something that is near and dear to our hearts. Each year we set new goals that reflect how well we performed the previous year. This challenges us to create better processes, improve our existing efforts and pushes us to use fewer resources for each barrel of beer that is produced. We focus on three major areas in our sustainability efforts: waste, energy and water. The following outlines a little bit about our efforts and goals as we strive to continue to make a difference in our communities.
Since COVID-19 changed the landscape of a traditional workplace in 2020, we recognized that the typical workspace is a thing of the past and enlisted a committee consisting of employees from all four of our departments – administrative, production, retail and sales – to evaluate what our office will look like moving forward. The goal of this committee was to launch a pilot program to lay out a series of proposed changes that may substantially alter how employees will work in 2022 and beyond.

To say that we are living in interesting times is an understatement. Nearly everything seems to be in flux. Sure, we’ve seen “crazy” before but nothing like this. There is no going back to normal. Look back, it’s not there. There’s only a new normal and it is ahead of us.
In 2017, we launched the Big Pitcher as a way for us to give back to the communities in which we live and work through the scope of our corporate ethos. Based on three pillars: environmental, social justice, and arts and culture to represent the scope and breadth of our employees. It is our honor to give back to causes that support the growth of the communities in which we live, work and play.
Well, what do we have here? Introducing the first-ever line extension for our most popular brand:
We set out to find the biggest names in astrology to help pair our beers with your very distinct and unique astrological personality. Unfortunately, they were all on vacation or traversing mystic realms so we had to do it ourselves. It’s not easy but we think we did alright.
We received over 1500 entries to our KBS Guitar Contest but only one could take the crown or, in this case, the meticulously handcrafted, KBS barrel-stave guitar made by the incomparable Mandrayk Musical Instruments.
Hard to believe, but we’ve released 15 Mothership Series beers over the past two years and we’re not done yet! Check out the 16th entry into our taproom-exclusive series:
